Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: May 21, 2026
♿ Our Commitment: Comp Buddy is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the accessibility of our website and dashboard to provide an inclusive experience for everyone.
Standards We Follow
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
- Hearing impairments
- Motor impairments
- Cognitive and learning disabilities
What We've Done
To ensure accessibility across our website and dashboard, we have implemented the following measures:
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, including skip navigation links for quick access to main content.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines are provided on all interactive elements for keyboard users.
- ARIA attributes: We use ARIA labels, roles, and landmarks to help assistive technologies understand page structure and interactive controls.
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark roles, and semantic elements throughout our pages.
- Color contrast: We aim to maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors.
- Alt text: Images include descriptive alternative text where appropriate.
- Responsive design: Our website is designed to work across different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, there are some known limitations:
- Chrome Extension UI: The Comp Buddy Chrome extension interface operates within the browser's extension framework and is outside the scope of this website's accessibility controls. We are working to improve accessibility within the extension as well.
- Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party services (such as payment processors) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
- Dynamic dashboard content: Some dynamically loaded content in the dashboard (live feeds, real-time charts) may have limited screen reader support. We are actively working to improve this.
